The Young Writers Competition is part of a research project at Keele University. ​

  • You can decide if your story is included in the research project.

  • If you say yes (in the box below), your story may be used anonymously in the research - your name will not be used and your personal details will stay private.

  • You can also change your mind within 21 days about whether your story is included.

We want to make sure you understand how your story might be used,

so please click on the tabs and read the information below.

Taking part involves:

📝 1. Write your story
500–2,000 words, using the theme of social media.

🖐️ 2. Decide if you want your story to be part of the research
You’ll still be in the competition no matter what you choose.

📤 3. Answer the question below, then submit your story
Select yes or no, then click ‘Next’ to open the entry form.
